After an incredible edition last winter, RWF is back in its 14th year!

Rome Whisky Festival 2026 takes place on February 28 and March 1 at Salone delle Fontane in EUR, bringing a full weekend dedicated to the “king of distillates” to the heart of Rome. Now in its 14th edition, the festival returns with everything fans have come to love, plus new highlights and surprises.

Set in the spacious Salone delle Fontane, it’s the perfect setting to celebrate the world of whisky and brown spirits (Armagnac, brandy, Cognac, and rum), gathering producers, experts, and enthusiasts in the Eternal City.

The Roma Whisky Festival & Brown Spirits is designed for everyone in mind, catering to whiskey connoisseurs and also engaging those just wanting to discover. This spirits festival held annually in Rome also attracts an international attendance–from whisky producers, importers, and distributors who are already familiar with the magnificent distillate to the whiskey curious. And of course always appealing to those longtime whiskey drinkers, the whiskey bars and the bartenders who bring the spirit to new light with their whiskey cocktail concoctions. 

For this edition as well, there will be exhibitor stands and spaces showcasing the most important companies in the industry. Additionally, there will be a revamped Vintage Area, dedicated to historical bottlings – an exclusive space designed for those who already appreciate the essence of this magnificent spirit and wish to explore rare and unique editions.

Access is by ticket, purchasable online or on site, and includes a tasting kit with an exclusive Glencairn glass to take home. Tastings at the various stands and signature cocktails at the ORO Whisky Bar are paid for with tokens (available for purchase by card or cash at the festival’s internal cash desks and non-refundable). Masterclasses are not included in the entry ticket: each has a set price determined by the organizing companies and can be purchased online or at the event, subject to availability. Introductory ABC courses held every 30 minutes cost €5 (5 tokens) and can be bought at the festival’s central desk.

Due cofinanziamenti per circa 67,4 milioni di euro per creare e riqualificare alloggi per studenti universitari.

A tanto ammontano i fondi destinati dal Ministero dell’Università alla Regione Lombardia, Università ed Enti Universitari che hanno partecipato ad un bando che ha una dotazione complessiva di 493 milioni di euro.

Queste risorse, previste dalla Legge 338/2000, costituiscono un cofinanziamento che si aggiunge ai fondi stanziati da chi propone i progetti.

Fermi: sempre più opportunità per studenti che hanno bisogno di alloggi

“E’ senza dubbio una notizia che ho accolto con estremo interesse – ha detto l’assessore all’Università, Ricerca e Innovazione, Alessandro Fermi – e che mi fa particolarmente piacere. Regione Lombardia ha lavorato costantemente al fianco del Ministero. Ora raccogliamo i primi risultati, con un grosso cofinanziamento statale che sicuramente ci aiuterà nel percorso che stiamo portando avanti. Vogliamo dare sempre più opportunità ai tanti studenti che scelgono i nostri atenei per formarsi”.

Nella prima graduatoria, relativa agli interventi di efficientamento e miglioramento energetico, gli enti universitari lombardi ammessi al finanziamento sono tre (Università Luigi Bocconi, Fondazione Ceur e Fondazione Collegio Santa Caterina da Siena) per complessivi 2.923.517 euro.

Nella seconda graduatoria, relativa agli interventi di ristrutturazione e riqualificazione, gli enti universitari lombardi ammessi al finanziamento sono tre (Università degli Studi di Milano, Politecnico di Milano e Università dell’Insubria) per complessivi 41.223.035 euro. A questi si aggiungono ulteriori due cofinanziamenti, con ulteriori risorse statali disponibili, per 23.322.944 euro destinati a Edisu Pavia e Università Cattolica Sacro Cuore.

Lavoro straordinario grazie a sinergia tra enti e università

“La forte attrattività dei nostri Atenei – ha continuato Fermi – fa aumentare la richiesta di alloggi.  Noi vogliamo garantire una residenza a tutti, per rendere effettivo il diritto allo studio dei ragazzi che vogliono laurearsi in Lombardia. Il lavoro di squadra paga sempre: la sinergia tra Ministero, Regione e Atenei lombardi ha portato a un risultato straordinario. Questo ci permette di cominciare a dare qualche risposta concreta agli studenti. Sicuramente il nostro lavoro non si ferma qui e già nelle prossime settimane arriveranno altre notizie di rilievo per quanto riguarda proprio le residenze”.

“Oltre ai fondi stanziati dal Ministero, – ha concluso Fermi – con le risorse Pnrr da qui al 2026 si prevede la realizzazione di circa 20.000 nuovi alloggi in Lombardia. Di questi 17.000 sono nel Milanese. Numeri complessivi che ci permetteranno di dare una risposta quasi risolutiva al problema degli alloggi”.
